Surf City Inshore Fishing Charters

From the Intracoastal Waterway to nearby inlets, our inshore fishing trips out of Surf City, North Carolina, are perfect for anglers of all experience levels.

These trips take place close to shore while fishing some of the area’s most productive spots. Trips run approximately 4 hours and are great for families, beginners, and experienced anglers alike, targeting species like redfish, speckled trout, and drum year-round.

He’s the kind of captain who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty catching fresh bait, is always searching for the next productive fishing hole, and keeps the trip fun with great conversation along the way.   • Yes! Families and kids are always welcome. Inshore trips are calm and perfect for introducing younger anglers to fishing.

  • Safety comes first. If weather conditions are unsafe, the trip will be rescheduled or refunded.

  • Yes, as long as the fish are within North Carolina regulations. Captain Jim can clean and prepare your catch so it's ready to take home.

  • Plan to arrive about 15 minutes prior to start time so everyone can get settled and ready to head out.

  • The boat comfortably accommodates small groups, making trips perfect for families & friends. Private charters ensure everyone gets plenty of space and attention from Captain Jim.

  • No problem! There’s plenty to enjoy! Relaxing on the water, sightseeing, spotting wildlife, or just hanging out and enjoying the views. Everyone has a great time, even if they don’t fish.
